The Northern Ireland Graduate Recruitment Fair makes a welcome return

28th March 2023

Queen’s University and Ulster University have joined forces to deliver the Northern Ireland Graduate Recruitment Fair in partnership with FinTrU and nijobfinder.co.uk.

The event will take place on 6 June 2023 at Queen’s University Belfast.

The Northern Ireland Graduate Recruitment Fair makes a welcome return to the Queen’s University campus after a four-year hiatus.

University graduates across Northern Ireland will have the opportunity to discover immediate graduate and training opportunities at the Northern Ireland Graduate Recruitment Fair on 6 June 2023. The event, organised by Careers, Employability & Skills at Queen’s University Belfast and Employability and Careers at Ulster University, is sponsored by FinTrU with nijobfinder.co.uk acting as media partner.

During the one-day event, taking place from 11am-3pm in the Whitla and South Dining Halls at Queen’s University Belfast final year students and recent graduates from Queen’s University Belfast, Ulster University and other institutions will get the opportunity to ‘future-proof their career’ by connecting with leading recruiters with immediate graduate and training opportunities.

Sandra Scannell, Employer Engagement Manager within Careers Employability and Skills at Queen’s said: “We are delighted to announce the return of the Northern Ireland Graduate Recruitment Fair for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic led to the cancellation of the event in 2020.  The NI Grad Fair gives students a crucial final access to employers and job opportunities before they graduate, and provides final year students who do not yet have a job with a further opportunity to secure a graduate role.

“We are dedicated to helping students transition from University into the world of work and this event helps raise awareness among graduating students of the support available throughout their job search and after graduation.

“FinTrU is one of Northern Ireland’s leading graduate employers and we’re delighted to partner with them to showcase the wealth of opportunities in the Northern Ireland job market for students seeking graduate employment.

For recruiters, the event is an opportunity to connect with talented students and graduates and showcase their brand and vacant roles. We are also proud to welcome back Nijobfinder.co.uk as the exclusive media partner, continuing their long association with the event.”

Maria Curran, Employer Engagement Manager, Employability and Careers, Ulster University said: “Ulster University is delighted to see the physical return of the NI Graduate Recruitment Fair in partnership with FinTrU and NIjobfinder.co.uk which is a must-attend event for any student planning to graduate this year.

“The Fair provides a platform for employers to share their opportunities for 2023 and connect with a talented and diverse pool of students, and it gives students the chance to speak to representatives from an abundance of local and national employers, all in one place offering graduate opportunities for 2023.

“The Employability and Careers team at Ulster University will also be on hand to share details of our wide-ranging services delivered by our expert cross-campus team to help our students prepare for a successful future career.”

Claire Brennan, FinTrU Talent Partner, said: “Providing graduates with their first step to a successful career is something we care deeply about at FinTrU, so we’re delighted to be sponsoring the Northern Ireland Graduate Recruitment Fair this year. We have close connections with both Queen’s and Ulster University, and their final year students and recent graduates will find some amazing opportunities at the event, with some of Northern Ireland’s very best recruiters.”
