9th February 2016

TWENTY-FIVE new jobs are to be created in Ballymena, thanks to a £1.7m investment.

Window manufacturer Apeer has successfully launched its new maintenance-free ‘Lumi’ system for the residential housing market and is investing in additional equipment, skilled personnel and marketing to maximise sales. Invest NI has offered the business £399,000 to support its investment.

Enterprise Minister Jonathan Bell said: “Apeer is an ambitious company, undertaking a comprehensive growth strategy to boost its market share across Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland.

“The 25 new jobs to be recruited in the coming months, the majority manufacturing roles, is very positive news for Mid and East Antrim, and will generate £375,000 annually in additional salaries to the local economy.”
