US is the business

The first cohort of Northern Ireland students on the prestigious Study USA programme have graduated.
They studied business and management for a year in American colleges across 34 States. Over 70 Northern Ireland students are currently studying in the US on this programme, having undergone a competitive selection process. 
Participating students also have the opportunity to gain valuable international experience and business knowledge and to develop their management and leadership skills for their return to Northern Ireland and future careers. The programme also helps promote Northern Ireland in the United States.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony Department of Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry said: “The programme facilitates students’ personal development and equips them with the skills necessary to live and work effectively in the global economy and will enable them to make a contribution to our future success at international level.”
