UPSKILLS SCHEME SOUTH Eastern Regional College (SERC) is working with Newtownabbey-based Harvey Group PLC to upskill employees with nationally recognised qualifications.
Thanks to funding from the Department for the Economy’s Skills Focus training programme the building services engineering firm, specialising in mechanical and electrical installation and maintenance, has availed of specialist, high-level training to raise the skill base of their project managers in the areas of legionella, water regulations and unvented training.
Harvey Group PLC mechanical operations manager Sam Glass explained: “Harvey Group is committed to continual investment in our workforce and we are thrilled to avail of the training opportunity offered by SERC. The training was designed to give the engineers the latest skillset to meet the needs of our company. Keeping abreast of the latest rules and regulations and enhancing skills development is crucial to ensure we provide the best service and products possible.”
