Two lecturers from the South Eastern Regional College have reached the finals of the prestigious national 2013 Pearson Teaching Awards.
Alpana Sharma from the Downpatrick campus and Lizzie Buick from Newtownards campus join a list of exceptional teachers who beat over 24,000 other nominees to reach the final.
The finalists will receive the results when they are announced by the Pearson Teaching Awards on Thank a Teacher Day, May 17, 2013.
Celebrating 12 years of recognition for unsung heroes, the awards will focus on finalists from across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Each of the winners will receive a Plato – the teaching awards trophy representing excellence in education. Distinctions and commendations will also be presented.
