Manleys embraces student talent

17th September 2013

Manleys, a leading Branding and Marketing Communications Company based in Belfast, is growing its team. The recent appointment of 4 young students and a further 4 senior posts in the pipeline demonstrates its commitment to investing in talent. Manleys has strong links with Graduate Management Programmes in past years and continues to forge a firm relationship with the University of Ulster and its student placement programmes.

Professor Lester Manley, MD of Manleys, says ‘Manleys is committed to embracing young, creative talent passionate about Branding and all its disciplines; they are an important member of our team. As part of our ‘Thrive not Survive’ growth strategy, investing in the right people is one of our key ingredients’.

Dr Valerie Purchase, Lecturer in Organsiational Communication, University of Ulster says ‘Student placements are a highly valued and popular option on our BSc (Hons) programmes in Communication, Advertising and Marketing and Public Relations.  They provide our students with opportunities to learn from industry practitioners in a rapidly developing communication sector.  Manleys have been a strong supporter of our placement programme for many years, helping to grow the next generation of marketing professionals and providing excellent learning opportunities in brand development across a wide range of clients’.

Samantha Maddox, recently completing a 12 month placement with Manleys, has returned to University with confidence, saying ‘Manleys is a great place to work, very relevant experience, great opportunities to learn and get involved with really nice people’. Samantha has handed the baton over to a recent graduate, Leanne Matthews.
