Grafton’s £1m digital investment

17th September 2013
A £1m investment in digital technology is paying dividends for Ireland’s largest recruitment company.
Since re-launching its website recently, Grafton Recruitment has seen a 15% uplift in traffic to the site.
As a result the company is placing increasing importance on the power of Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn as a means of connecting top talent with vacancies.
At a recent seminar on Recruiting in the Digital Era Grafton Group CEO, Jason Kennedy, spoke of the need for employers and employees alike to take advantage of social media when it comes to advertising or seeking a new role:
“We actively encourage all our clients to take a proactive approach when it comes to using social media as part of the recruitment process – particularly when it comes to filling posts with a quick turnaround – or those which require individuals with a very specific skill set,” he said.
“The ability to have virtual conversations with an entire network of individuals on what is sometimes a global scale means that we can often unearth the perfect candidate for a post – maybe someone who wasn’t even proactively job hunting at that time.”
Grafton Recruitment already employs a dedicated team of digital consultants, but is planning to equip all consultants with the necessary skills and training to maximise the opportunities offered by this developing sector.
As well as a new website the company, which has its headquarters in The Boat, Belfast, has 10 branches throughout Ireland and a further 50 offices across the globe.
The company is currently in discussions with a number of companies who are considering significant investment in Ireland in 2013 with positive implications for both the employment market and the economy.
The Grafton Employment Group comprises four key brands:
· Grafton Recruitment – Global permanent and temporary recruitment provider
· Blueprint Appointments – Ireland’s leading technical specialist recruitment partner
· SpenglerFox – Global executive search and HR consultancy network
· Grafton Technologies – Central and Eastern Europe’s leading technical specialist recruitment partner
