Five government departments seek applicants

5th June 2019

Five roles across various governmental departments are being advertised this week, including a post as a Senior Psychologist for the Department for Communities with a salary of up to £40,473.

The job will be based at Corporation Street in Belfast. It will include leading occupational psychologists who assist employment advisers and job coaches in jobs and benefits offices.

A Veterinary Inspector on the same salary band is also sought by the Department for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA). The post-holder will be based in various locations across the province. In the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs at DAERA, a grade-three Inspector post has become available with a salary of up to £35,465.

Also, a Higher Scientific Officer is required who will be based in its Ladas Drive headquarters.

Meanwhile, many of Northern Ireland’s schools continue their search for new staff.

This includes two teaching posts at Ballymoney’s Dalriada School, an art-related role at Methodist College and classroom assistant jobs at St Malachy’s College in North Belfast.

Dalriada School is looking for a girls’ PE teacher and a stage three Home Economics, GCSE Food and Nutrition and GCE Nutrition and Food Science teacher.

In St Malachy’s, there are a number of posts available including Classroom Assistants (with special needs experience), Cleaners and a General Care Assistant.

In Tyrone, Integrated College Dungannon has five teaching posts available across different departments including English, Science, Technology, Art, Maths and Physics. Elsewhere, the Fundraising Regulator is seeking a Freelance Worker to help raise awareness of its role across Northern Ireland.

The independent, non-statutory body regulates fundraising across the charitable sector in Northern Ireland, as well as England and Wales.

It works in partnership with other regulators and the representative bodies in the charitable and fundraising sectors to “build public confidence and ensure consistent fundraising standards across the UK.” It was established in 2016 following concern about how charities contact donors and potential donors.

Also, Independent News and Media is seeking a temporary Marketing Manager to grow traffic and circulation across its brands.
