First Trust Bank has appointed Kieran Mailey to the role of Specialist Agri-Advisor, bringing the number of Agri-Food consultants at the bank to 16.
Kieran, who previously worked as a livestock specialist with the Irish Farmers Journal, and as a farm development adviser at the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise, will play an integral role in First Trust Bank’s Agri-Food Team, providing on-farm support. He will also be part of the overall AIB agri-team of advisers and will be able to readily access and share knowledge and experience of the industry from across the island of Ireland.
Speaking about the appointment, Des Moore, Head of First Trust Bank, said: “Kieran’s appointment comes as demand for the bank’s dedicated Agri-Food Fund support package increases, so I’m delighted we have another expert to advise farmers and other agri-based businesses on the best products and services available.”
