Modeller - Water
Role Description
The Engineering and Sustainability Directorate is responsible for the planning of a major rolling programme of capital investment in water and wastewater assets. Asset Management is a key section within that and this role reports to the Principal Modeller Clean Water. The overall capital works programme is usually circa £200 – £300 million pa.
As part of the in-house hydraulic modelling team you will support delivery of the overall hydraulic modelling scope of work, support the development of hydraulic models, update the model stock and support all modelling requirements of internal stakeholders.
The role will also work closely with individual project managers and project sponsors.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. Have a 3rd level qualification Degree / HNC / HND in an engineering or geography related discipline and 2 years’ recent experience of hydraulic modelling of clean water networks using water industry software (specifically, Infoworks WS, Infowater or Synergi)
OR;
5 years’ recent experience of hydraulic modelling clean water networks using water industry software (specifically, Infoworks WS, Infowater or Synergi) or related areas such as GIS
2. Demonstrable Water Industry Experience.
3. Experience of managing time effectively, prioritising workloads and working to competing deadlines.
4. Experience of water networks including data analysis, network assessments, development of solutions and subsequent technical report writing.
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
6. Experience of using MS Office suite including Excel, Word, Access and Powerpoint.
7. Hold a full, current driving license or access to a form of transport to enable you to fulfil your responsibilities

Salary
This role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £33,670 - £44,893 (pay award pending)
The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale.
