Role Description

NI Water provides water and wastewater services for the people of Northern Ireland. As a Contract Manager, within the Commercial Team, you can make a real difference to your community by supporting these vital services.
From M&E to Energy and Supply and Delivery Frameworks used within NI Waters Capital Delivery programmes the variety of contracts needed are diverse and interesting. The Commercial team is about delivering best value solutions for the goods and services that NI Water requires to deliver water and wastewater service for their customers.
The role of the M&E Contract Manager is to implement and carry out effective contract management ensuring that goods or services are delivered at the right quality, at the right time, at the right cost. The contract manager will work with internal stakeholders and develop strong supplier relationships to ensure best value is delivered for NI Water. The contract manager will also assist in the development of future M&E contracts and frameworks and play a role in the evaluation of tenders for new and replacement contracts and frameworks .

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. Have a degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant Mechanical or combined field Engineering AND at least 1 years’ post qualification experience working with external contractors in a commercial environment.
OR
Must have spent Be a time served Fitter AND have at least 3 years’ post qualification experience working with external contractors in a commercial environment.
2. Knowledge and experience of the delivery of current relevant legislation e.g. Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, LOLER, PUWER, Health & Safety at Work (NI) Order 1978, ATEX/DSEAR/Compex and relevant Mechanical regulations associated with facilities and assets on industrial and office installations in accordance with these regulations.
3. An understanding of the operation and use of M&E contracts including installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical assets.
4. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. MS Excel experience should include the ability to analyse and manipulate data for presentation in a professional manner.
5. Access to a form of transport and possession of current valid driving licence which will enable you to fulfil your responsibilities
6. Medically fit to enter confined spaces if required.

Salary
This role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £33,670 to £44,893 per annum (pay award pending).
The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale.
