Leakage Data Management Technician (West)
Role Description
To undertake field activities in relation to data collection, data integrity and data consistency in regards to flows & pressures, network connectivity, District Metered Area (DMA) boundary confirmation and the maintenance of Pressure Reducing Valves (PRVs) & pressure managed areas in the west region. The Data Technician role currently sits within the Customer and Operations Directorate

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. A minimum of two years’ Operational or Customer experience to include at least two of the following:
- Knowledge and operation of a water network.
- Understanding of District Metered Area (DMA) management,
- Understanding of Pressure management
- Leakage detection (Company or Customer side leakage)
2. Competent in Microsoft Office applications including MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
3. A current, valid driving license to fulfill the duties of this role.
4. Potential employees must have a permanent residence within the specified travelling distance by public road to one of the following postcodes:
- 30 miles travelling distance by public road to Dromore Tyrone Shanmullagh Service Reservoir, Bridge Road, Dromore, Tyrone, BT78 3JL
- 20 miles travelling distance by public road to Loughfea Water Treatment Works 15a Ballybriest rd Ballybriest Cookstown BT80 9TY.
As measured by RAC Route Planner from full postcode to full postcode via the ‘shortest route’ selection on the website. This is to enable NI Water to meet its key customer service requirements and deliver effective services to customers, particularly in respect of the need to respond promptly to out of hours’ emergencies.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
