HR Generalist – Greater Belfast – FMCG

MCS Group is incredibly excited to be partnering with an exciting FMCG organisation who are going from strength to strength, my client has expanded steadily over the past 4 years, with ambitious plans to continue their growth going forward.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious HR professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and be part of an expanding business, working in an autonomous stand-alone capacity for a 12 month fixed term basis.

The role

The HR Generalist will be reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations. The successful candidate will primarily be working in an independent manner however, to provide human resource support and continuously strive to make the company an employer of choice.

Key duties include:

  • Key role - support ongoing recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions and personnel specifications, advertising roles, liaising with agencies, scheduling and participating in interviews and providing confidential support
  • Provide a dedicated HR Advisory service on all Employee Relations issues.
  • Developing induction material and co-ordinating the probationary process.
  • Further develop induction material, supporting induction training and coordinating the probationary review process
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and review of HR processes, policies and procedures in line with legislation and business need
  • Advise line managers and other employees on employment legislation and the company’s policies and procedures, as appropriate.
  • Pension and benefit administration
  • Support disciplinary, performance management, grievance, and dismissal processes, including note taking.
  • Support the roll out of internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support the Director of Operations and Marketing in a range of administration duties
  • Any other duties as required that are commensurate with the role.

The Person

  • Solid HR generalist experience in an advisory capacity in the following areas: recruitment and selection, sickness absence, managing performance, probation management
  • Ability to work in an autonomous fashion.
  • Two years generalist experience at HR Assistant level or higher.
  • Proven track record of delivery in a busy environment.
  • Good working knowledge of current employment legislation.
  • CIPD qualified

Although not essential, experience working across multiple sites and jurisdictions is desired.
