MCS Group is seeking an experienced IT support manager to oversee a global helpdesk team. You will be leading, developing and managing a team of service desk professionals as they troubleshoot end users' issues, and requests along with their day to day management, is this the challenge you have been seeking?
The role
- Oversee the strategic direction of a global service desk
- Be that senior point of escalation for those trickier issues that require a seasoned pro to resolve, although this will not be a heavy element of your day to day
- Engage senior teams and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvements across the desk and your team
- Ensure key performance metrics are being hit and seek out new methods of improving these
- Train, develop, hire and manage the team underneath you
Needed to succeed
- A proven track record of team management
- Knowledge of best practices and evidence that you are capable of effect positive changes as you see fit
- A good general knowledge of, operating systems, hardware and applications
