Having already built out an impressive team in another arm of the business in Belfast, they are now seeking passionate Software Engineering Managers to lead, support and develop a first-class tech team, playing a pivotal role in the next phase of their Belfast expansion.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading, developing and growing a talented team software engineers, overseeing all aspects of team growth, best practices and engineering standards, service delivery, and collaboration across cross-functional teams
  • Creating and maintaining an efficient and effective engineering pipeline, supporting engineers and removing blockers while upholding technical standards and business goals
  • Promoting and encouraging individual and team growth through performance reviews, goal setting and continuous coaching and mentoring
  • Playing a pivotal role in the growth of the team in Belfast, aiding recruitment strategies to spearhead commercial growth of the business
  • This is a hands-off role, however you will play a key role in technical decisions, architecture, code reviews, gathering requirements and project management

Who you are:

  • Previous technical experience in software development and a strong technical knowledge (ideally in Python, Node or React, however if you are coming from another tech stack, let's chat!)
  • Proven track record of team management and individual performance management
  • Previous experience of managing and growing teams is essential
  • A passionate and motivated coach and mentor, with a proven track record of supporting a team to grow and develop while managing service delivery and business goals
  • A strong communicator, motivating your team while building relationships across cross-functional teams within the business and externally with clients
  • You'll have a growth mindset, taking an open-minded approach to problems and happy to work within a fast-paced environment across multiple projects with a high level of autonomy
