MCS is currently seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our clients team in Belfast. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in driving excellence and innovation across engineering efforts. Managing a high performing team of software engineers, you'll lead by example, ensuring adherence to best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
- Ensure compliance with software development processes and internal standards
- Implement tools and techniques to enhance quality and efficiency
- Drive technical excellence and architectural best practices
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Implement and uphold engineering best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role
- Proficiency in C# .NET or Java technologies.
- Experience in Agile/Lean environments
- Strong understanding of modern technologies and architectural design
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment and DevOps practices
- Experience with web application development and distributed environments
