Assistant Accountant

The services of Hays have been retained by our client based in the greater Belfast area to recruit a credit controller to join their established team. This organisation is one of Northern Ireland’s top 50 businesses that provide sustainable and customer-centric products and services.

Your new role
Working within the existing team, you will be responsible for a range of duties to include:

• Preparing month-end journals including sales, Cost of Sales (COS) accruals, reallocations.
• Completion of a wide range of P&L and BS reconciliations.
• Assistance in preparing monthly and quarterly reports for Senior Management.
• Supporting the monthly and annual forecasting processes

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you should possess at least 2 years’ proven recent experience of working in a similar role with experience of using an accounting package in previous roles. Candidates should have demonstrable experience in the proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and have proven time management and communication skills.
