MCS Group is delighted to be working alongside an award-winning, Belfast based agency to recruit a Content & PR Manager to join their growing team. This role will involve the planning, implementation and evaluation of communication campaigns including; digital content, website, PR and activations.

You will identify clients' current and future Content and PR needs in order to develop strategic and tactical solutions to achieve their objectives. You will be required to direct multidisciplinary agency teams and work closely with clients, at all levels, in order to build relationships based on respect and trust.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop audience focused content strategies for clients which are aligned with their vision & goals.
  • Develop high-quality, engaging content, working closely with the Creative Studio team and external partners to develop assets, ensuring that all content is aligned with brand guidelines and relevant audience insight.
  • Content lead for specific clients/content within the portfolio, including long form & web copy.
  • Influencer Management: Help shape the agency's approach to influencers and briefs which support client requirements, define the right approach for influencers to meet the set objectives.
  • Identify and liaise with relevant influencers, negotiating fair rates for content, and ensuring the relevant agreements are in place. Ownership and project management of any influencers.
  • Develop and execute effective public relations strategies, based on KPls and performance metrics, to meet the business objectives of a client, within schedule and budget.
  • Develop relationships within industry media, online journalists, and bloggers/creators.
  • Concept, write and publish press releases, newsletters, ads, blogs, and other digital and print materials, that resonate with the relevant target market. Also consider high-quality backlinks which follow SEO best practice.
  • Understand the tools, data, and insights to monitor performance and generate content ideas. - Monitor social & online trends for reactive content/campaign ideas.
  • Ownership and project management of any external activation companies
  • Support on new business pitches and presentations.
  • Development and management of agency's content strategy and action plan - working from ideas to production (with creative support) through to review of activity.
  • Building and creating content links between the agency, its clients, community and industry.
  • Manage the content approach for the agency's website and write and review content, including incorporating best practice SEO principles.

Necessary experience:

  • 3rd level qualification & minimum of 4 years' experience, ideally in an agency setting.
  • Good understanding of the media landscape including digital (in particular SEO, PPC, Display, Social, Email, Content), the current landscape and future trends.
  • Deep understanding of the content and PR process and skilled at working with creative teams.
  • Ability to keep up to date with industry trends within content and PR and share this with the wider team.
  • Source, interrogate and evaluate competitive quotes, including benchmarking, for Yd party services and in adherence with any client procurement protocols.
