The International School of Moscow was established in April 2007. Initially an infant school, it has now grown to incorporate EYFS, Primary and Secondary Schools to Year 13 with 1005 students on roll.

ISM offers the English National Curriculum but in an international context. While following the structure of the ENC as a minimum expectation, much of our work is adapted to reflect the context of the school. Our children are bright, motivated and talented individuals from international backgrounds and our curriculum reflects this. For example, all of our students study Russian as part of the curriculum and enjoy specialist lessons in PE and Music throughout the school.

Our school is set over four campuses on the pleasant, residential north-west side of Moscow. The Krylatskoe Lower Campus offers classes from Nursery to Year 4. The Krylatskoe Upper Campus houses Year 4 to 13. Our two Rosinka campuses offer education from Pre-Nursery to Year 6.

First time visitors to our school often comment on the friendly and welcoming atmosphere that our community has established. We believe strongly that all members of ISM should enjoy positive relationships. Our philosophy is to ensure that our school sites remain intimately-sized in order to maintain a family- orientated approach to education.

ISM believes strongly that ICT should be central to our teaching and learning. Provision is via Apple Mac technology throughout the school. Provision of 1-2-1 devices for upper primary and secondary pupils is in line with the vision of the school to prepare pupils for the world that is rapidly developing.

ISM completed an ISI inspection in October 2016 that identified all aspects of the school to be ‘Excellent’. This followed on from our previous ISI inspection in October 2013 when we were also graded as ‘Excellent’ in all areas.

Our staff work very hard but are well-rewarded personally, professionally and financially. As a result, many of our teachers gain a strong affinity for the school and find it hard to leave. Many that do leave, choose to stay within our network of schools and several have enjoyed promotions within the Foundation.

The International School of Moscow is an exciting and enriching place to work and looks forward to greeting new members of staff who have the skills, energy and enthusiasm to thrive in the positive environment that we offer.
