Developing Healthy Communities (DHC Ltd)

Developing Healthy Communities, previously, Derry Healthy Cities is a charitable organisation which has been in operation in Northern Ireland since 1992. Since then our work has expanded to include the wider Derry City & Strabane district area, and across Northern Ireland.

Vision

Our vision is to promote a more positive and inclusive attitude to health through the promotion, preservation and protection of good health.

How do we hope to achieve this?

We hope to achieve this by:

• Providing leadership in creating healthy, equitable and sustainable environments;
• Promoting a positive and inclusive attitude to health policy;
• Introducing and piloting innovative concepts and approaches;
• Building individual capacity through education, research and sharing of best practice.
