VANRATH are delighted to be working with a local charity based in North Down who provide a fantastic service to the local community. My client is recruiting for a Carers Project Worker on an initial interim contract. This position is offering the right candidate 20 hours per week over 5 mornings.

About your next employer

This is a new and exciting opportunity within the business and the role will be to assist the Carer’s Co-ordinator to deliver a wide range of supports to older carers across the North Down and Ards area.

About you

  • 5 GCSE’s including Maths & English (grade c or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in providing support to individuals or groups
  • Confident self-starter
  • Strong administration skills and competent with Microsoft packages
  • Good interpersonal / communications skills

What you’ll do

• Provide high quality administration regarding the Carers Support service e.g. using Microsoft office packages.
• Data input / using excel to maintain accurate records and collate information.
• Plan and organise groups, activities and events etc for carers. This will involve:
- contacting carers to arrange meetings, groups etc.
- liaising with providers regarding rooms hire / facilities / catering etc. attending meetings / groups with the Carers co-ordinator
• Assist the co-ordinator in preparing reports and funding applications.
• Provide signposting and information to carers.
