Barnett - Hall is a joint account between W&R Barnett Trading and R&H Hall Ltd. Barnett and Hall have been leading suppliers to the Irish feed industry of grain and non-grain feed ingredients since 1896 and 1839 respectively.

As we look to the future, we are inviting applications to our newly launched Graduate Development Programme. Beginning in the summer of 2024, you will join us on a full-time basis, for the duration of your 2 year programme, as you start your career with us.

The Programme

During our Graduate Development Programme, you will participate in either the Trading or Operations stream. Year one will provide complete rotations in key areas within your chosen stream, and year two will give you the opportunity to specialise in two priority business areas, in accordance with your skillset and preferences.

Trading Stream:
Experience what it is like to work on a trading desk and provide end-to-end trading support through to shipping / logistics. Gain wider experience of our products by learning about our approach to quality and sustainability.

Operations Stream:
As part of our integrated operations business, encounter our best-in-class port operations and logistics, storage and warehousing, as well as capital engineering, process improvement, projects and systems. Hone your environmental expertise and develop your knowledge of Health and Safety.

About You

To join us on our Graduate Development Programme, you will need to be a graduate from a relevant area of academic study, such as Finance or Investment, Economics, Agricultural Science, Business Studies, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics or Engineering or similarly suitable degrees.

In addition, you will need:

- An understanding of what is required to work within a Commercial Trading & Integrated Operations Business
- The desire to build a career with us after the graduate programme
- To be a good team player with excellent verbal & written communication skills and strong IT & systems capability

If you have at least one years’ experience in a commercial environment, including some exposure to operations, purchasing or sales in an agri-food environment, this may be beneficial to your application.
