Assistant Accountant

Your new company
I am currently working on behalf of a growing organisation based in the Greater Belfast area to hire an Assistant Accountant to join their existing finance team. This organisation is a long-standing and reputable company with an excellent company culture and low staff turnover and is currently undertaking a period of substantial growth.

Your new role
Working in an established finance team, you will be responsible for a range of duties including:

• Responsible for the accuracy of financial statements and information.
• Updating and reconciling financial ledgers
• Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets for the company
• Preparing financial documents such as purchase orders and bank statements
• Verifying company expenses, bank deposits and bank payments

What you'll need to succeed
Ideal candidates should possess a degree in Accountancy/Finance or minimum IATA qualified with 2-3 years’ experience in a similar accountancy role. Applicants should be excel proficient with an ability to spot numerical errors and have strong organisation skills.
