Our client based in Belfast are looking for an Staff Officer to join their team

Job Description:

- Use Blaise software to create survey questionnaire in electronic format, or make adjustments to coding provided by ONS to tailor the questionnaire for CSU.

- Use Blaise software to transfer survey workloads to interviewers.

- Manage survey fieldwork/data collection.

- Monitor progress of the survey as a whole and ensure survey response targets are on course to be met.

- Check electronic data submitted by interviewers to ensure data quality is of a high standard.

- Ensure systems are in place to allow coding and editing of data.

- Validate data as required, such as identification of inconsistent question responses and outlier identification.

- Calculate response rates taking into consideration individual circumstances of issued cases.

- Conduct briefings for interviewers to disseminate information regarding the background and content of surveys, and client expectations.

- Ensure data delivery timetables are adhered to as per survey schedule.

- Produce monthly Quality Assurance dataset for customer.

- Respond to queries from members of the public, interviewers, customers, NISRA colleagues and ONS staff.

- Liaising with Admin Team to oversee diary processing.

Wage:

- 17.09ph (weekly)

Location:

- Colby House/ Remote Working

Start Dates:

- ASAP

Essential Criteria:

- 5 GCSEs Including Maths & English (Must have certificate Proof)

- University Degree (Must have certificate Proof)

This post requires the person to have the following experience:

- Analysing statistical datasets in SPSS or a similar statistical package;

- Writing reports based on statistical data;

In addition, the following skills are also required:

- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a Team and with key stakeholders.

- Good communication skills (verbal and written) to engage with a wide audience including interviewers and customers

Duration Of Placement:

- 9 months (with possible extension)

Work Pattern:

- Monday – Friday 9 to 5 (flexible)

Hours Per Week:

- 37
