Senior Management Accountant

Your new company
Our client is manufacturing organisation with a wide range of products and a market leading position in their own market. As the market leader, our client can boast a long history and a strong order book. The team will be looking for a new Management Accountant to work alongside their Financial Controller and MD.
Your new role
As the Senior Management Accountant, you will be collecting and producing important commercial information, KPIs and full sets of accounts whilst managing a small team. You will be working directly with the operation staff on the shop floor to improve profitability and efficiency.

• Management and maintenance of standard costing finance system
• Preparation of the monthly management accounts and KPI’s in line with HO deadlines
• Actual sales and margin reporting by product and customer and analysis against forecast/ budget
• Review of manufacturing variances against standard and budget and implementation of actions/ changes as required
• Assist in year-end preparation of statutory accounts and Audit
• Monthly compliance and balance sheet reconciliation
• Quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting for sales and margin and manufacturing variances
• Management of Payroll
• Plant stock takes / inventory management
• Weekly and monthly order book reporting
• Margin analysis and intercompany pricing

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a qualified accountant with experience within a manufacturing / engineering setting. You will have great analytical skills to review and deliver commercial information to operational staff. You will be able to work with autonomy and initiative to hit your deadlines in a fast-moving and complex environment.
