Design Engineer

Energis is currently recruiting for a Design Engineer for our manufacturing client who have gone through a period of consistent steady growth. The role is based near Antrim. Applications are welcome from junior candidates with a willingness to learn.

Using AutoCAD and Solidworks, the successful Design Engineer will work closely to client requirements, generating bespoke engineering designs in line with approved budget and schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of design from initial concept through to project delivery
• Work closely with other departments to ensure product is delivered on time and budget
• Attend project review meetings.
• Keep management informed on progress of projects
• Assist in the development of existing and new products, develop methods within the manufacturing process.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• Ensure appropriate checking & review of all documents and drawings before release at any stage

Criteria:

• Third level Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD / Solidworks (or similar)
• Excellent communications skills
• Ability to work to strict deadlines
• Proficient with MS Office applications
• Able to work independently or in team environment.

Salary is up to £30k depending upon experience. Benefits include bonus scheme and healthcare plan, plus an early Friday finish!
