Switchboard Operator - Belfast

We are currently recruiting for one full time or two part time Switchboard Operators for the Ulster Hospital Dundonald. The successful candidate/candidates will be working in a high-paced, fast changing environment and so must be able to work under pressure.

These positions will require flexibility around working hours as various shift patterns will apply including weekends, bank holidays, and night shifts. Pay rates are £11.45 for day shifts Monday to Friday, £16.14 for Monday to Friday night duties and a Saturday, and £20.95 on a Sunday.

What The Job Entails:

• Transferring calls to the appropriate departments

• Responding appropriately to alarms

• Monitoring and reporting on any needs of the alarm, paging, and telephone systems

• Maintaining stock levels

• Maintaining and updating the switchboard internal telephone directory

  
  

What we need from you:

• 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above to include English and Maths or one year experience in a similar environment

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

• Experience in the use of Microsoft Software packages

• Knowledge of switchboards and phone systems is desirable
