Gardener (Ards and North Down)

Hays are delighted to be working alongside Ards & North Down borough council, who are recruiting Gardeners to join their team.
Your new role
This is a seasonal position initially, with the contract expected to end in September. You will be responsible for undertaking a range of grounds maintenance works including grass cutting, hedge cutting, litter collection, weed control, fertilising, maintenance of bedding schemes and planting. You will also be needed to operate a range of machinery and horticultural equipment, while complying with the necessary health and safety regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need to have at least 1 year's previous experience in a similar position. You will need to have a full driving licence with access to your own vehicle, and be able to provide a recent employment reference.
What you'll get in return
You will work 36 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, 8.00-16.00 and 8.00-14.00 on Friday. You will be paid weekly, with a competitive hourly rate on offer. This role offers an immediate start with one of North Down's largest employers.
