Your new role
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in our product development journey. Reporting directly to the Head of Manufacturing Engineering, your responsibilities will span across various phases, from initial design to serial production.
What you'll need to succeed
Collaborate closely with the engineering design team/system owners to manage and drive the manufacturing process. Evaluate “make vs buy” decisions, ensuring optimal design for manufacturing.Develop, manage, and deploy manufacturing readiness packages that feed into our overall manufacturing plan and strategy.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean and 5s methodologies.
Create high-level operational processes and ensure effective governance.
Be a self-starter and motivate yourself and others.
Own advanced manufacturing engineering requirements during the product development phase, including MBOM creation, process planning, equipment specifications, PFMEAs, virtual builds, labour estimation, and build manuals/documentation planning.
Collaborate with the engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot any process or equipment issues during new product introduction and series manufacturing.
