Your new role
The Senior Drainage Engineer will be part of a multidisciplinary team with a national focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with various clients, including water companies, local authorities, highway and rail authorities, and developers.
- Producing comprehensive drainage infrastructure design packages in ensuring effective water management and flood prevention.
- Working closely with other drainage engineers to develop innovative drainage design solutions.
- Responsible in adhering to the CDM Regulations (Construction Design and Management Regulations) and prioritise safety and environmental requirements.
- Ensuring that the projects meet quality standards is essential for successful execution.
- Preparing and delivering technical presentations to a diverse clientele.
- Creating both financial and technical proposals for project opportunities.
- Supervising and managing junior team members.
Your role as a Senior Drainage Engineer is multifaceted, requiring technical expertise, leadership, and effective communication. By fulfilling these responsibilities, you contribute significantly to the success of drainage projects and overall infrastructure development.
What you'll need to succeed
Our client is looking for candidates with essential qualifications for the Senior Drainage Engineer role, such as:
- Chartered engineer either in ICE or CIWEM. Must have experience in drainage design including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS).
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Hydraulic modelling – preferably Microdrainage and/or Civils 3D.
- Working knowledge of the CDM Regulations.
- Proven track record of coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects on time and to budget
It would be desirable if you have experience working in a Design & Build environment and with sound commercial understanding. It is important that you have excellent communication skills.
