Assistant Accountant

I am currently working on behalf of a leading organisation based in the Lisburn area to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team.

Your new role
Working within the existing team, you will be responsible for a range of duties including:

• Supporting the Finance Manager with daily activities
• Maintaining the weekly cashflow forecast for the business
• Completing bank and nominal reconciliations to identify and solve arising issues
• Assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts including month end journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register, analysis & KPI’s
• Assisting the Finance Manager with completing yearly budgets and ad hoc reporting to Group Finance.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you should be an Accounting Technician (AAT Qualified) or have demonstrable financial accounting experience to trial balance and assisting with management accounts. Candidates should have strong excel experience (including the ability to pivot/lookup) and good communication and high-level attention to detail.
