Supply Chain Co-ordinator

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Strategic Supply Chain Co-Ordinator to join their team.

Your new role
The Strategic Supply Chain Co-Ordinator role is pivotal in establishing strong working relationships with key supply base companies, including raw material suppliers and tier 2 production machinists, to ensure Materials KPIs are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively manage key supply base across the UK and EU, and cross-functional team actions
• Monitor supplier performance in line with customer, industry, and governmental requirements
• Select and implement new suppliers to ensure timely achievement of program milestones
• Manage changes requested by the customer ensuring timely acceptance and target dates are achieved
• Provide and present data and reports using project management tools
• Use quality improvement tools and techniques with a focus on team working, information sharing, and Continuous Improvement Programmes
• Use ERP systems, primarily SAGE alongside B2B systems as required
• Liaise with a cross-functional team on supplier management
• Comply with the Company Environmental Policy and requirements of the Environmental Management System

What you'll need to succeed

• Third level degree in a related field or 5 years experience within Manufacturing/Automotive/Aerospace/or similar supply chain
• Knowledge of ERP, MRP, and B2B systems
• Experience of managing small teams and projects
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
• Understanding of Quality standards
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Autonomous, self-motivated, and strong leadership
• Conflict resolution and customer-focused
• Team working and high level of initiative
• Hands-on problem-solving and attention to detail and accuracy
