MTC Quantity Surveyor

Hays Recruitment have been retained by a highly reputable, family run main contractor in their recruitment of a MTC Quantity Surveyor. Established over 40 years ago, my client has undertaken and successfully delivered an impressive range of projects in the public, private, commercial, education & residential sectors across Northern Ireland. Operating with a turnover of over £10m, the company maintains a strong presence in the construction industry in NI. Due to increased workload, they now require a MTC Quantity Surveyor to be based in their commercial team.

Your new Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager and working closely with the Operational Team you will be responsible for the delivery and management on a variety of projects as well as providing regular updates on their performance. You will be heavily involved in the preparation and management of the project budget including subcontractor procurement. The successful candidate will demonstrate a focus on establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all clients and all external parties. This is an NI based role which requires no UK Travel.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be degree educated in Quantity Surveying, and will ideally have at least 3 years of experience in a Quantity Surveying role working on large value projects with a main contractor. Strong commercial attitude and excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be dealing with sub contractors and clients on a daily basis. The successful candidate will be self-sufficient and able to work on their own initiative, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the construction industry.
