What you will do:
Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with regulations, and adherence to policies and procedures.Develop audit plans, including risk assessments, audit objectives, and testing procedures, to address key areas of concern.Execute audit procedures, including gathering and analysing data, evaluating evidence, and documenting findings in accordance with professional standards.Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management, providing practical insights and actionable solutions to address identified issues.Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to implement corrective actions and process improvements based on audit findings.Monitor and follow up on the implementation of corrective actions to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.Stay current with regulatory requirements, industry trends, and best practices in internal auditing, applying this knowledge to enhance audit processes and procedures.Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering their professional development and growth within the practice.What you will have:
Chartered Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification preferred, and equivalent professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) with relevant audit experience.Significant experience working in internal audit, preferably within a professional services or accountancy practice environment.Strong understanding of internal control concepts, risk assessment methodologies, and audit techniques.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate evidence, and develop practical solutions.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office suite.What's in it for you
