Groundskeeper URGENTLY needed for an immediate start role in Pennyburn, Foyle for our client the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. This is a temporary role set to last for at least three months with a possibility of an extension. The hours of work will be 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am – 1pm on Fridays with a rate of pay of £11.59 per hour.
The Successful candidate will have relevant experience, be able to operate, use and maintain mechanical/electrical equipment and machinery such as chain saws, grass-cutters, hedge trimmers, strimmer’s, push mowers, ride-on mowers, and tractor mounted flail hedge-cutters.
What you will be doing:
- Establishing and maintenance of shrub beds and grassed areas
- Removing dead trees and planting trees
- Sharpen and renew blades for mowers
- To clean grounds and lift litter
- Where necessary display signs in work areas warning of dangers
- Reporting potential Public Liability Claims (PLICs) hazards to the District Office for repair
