Communications and Marketing Executive

MCS Group is delighted to be working alongside a Newry based Charity to recruit a Communications and Marketing Executive to join the growing team, to deliver the annual Marketing & communications plans, raise awareness of the mission, programmes and impact.

You will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the objectives within the corporate plan as they relate to communications and marketing.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

• Utilise and optimise digital media to increase awareness, sustain existing supporters and attract new supporters.
• Contribute to the development of communication and marketing strategies and operational plans.
• Maintain website content & social media channels.

• Oversee the use of the brand and visual identity in line with agreed guidelines to ensure consistency across all communications channels.
• Assist in the preparation of press releases, campaigns, company brochures, service leaflets, film clips and other collateral.
• Design, implement and deliver online and printed marketing content and materials.
• Work collaboratively internally and externally to identify opportunities to develop communication materials; social media, website, newsletters and media releases.
• Develop opportunities to build collaborative relationships with appropriate external organisations and individuals.
• Manage the communication and marketing calendar.
• improve internal communications and drive cross-organisational engagement
• Monitor and review the outcomes of communication and marketing activity and produce monthly evaluation reports to include social media metrics and insights.
• Assist in the co-ordination of media, networking and other events.
• Assist in the development of presentations for a range of audiences using a variety of media platforms to achieve organisational targets.

Essential Criteria;

• A third level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, e.g. marketing, media management, journalism or communications plus 2 year’s relevant experience in a similar role OR 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
• Experience in creating original content and managing social media content across a variety of channels
• Experience of creating and managing website content
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - confident and skilled in all aspects of communication (including social media), to a range of audiences
• Ability to write copy, including press releases and media articles, creatively and accurately with an innovative approach
