Our client is looking for an Agriculture worker to join their team!
Rate of Pay: £12.32
Location: Greenmount - Antrim
Duration: 51 weeks
Work hours: 37 hours plus overtime
Shift Pattern: Core hours Monday – Friday, 8.45am – 5.00pm (Additional hours, on a rota basis, outside of these times will be required including weekend work. Rostered milking commences at 6am)
Start date: As soon as possible
Job Duties:
The successful agency workerwill be part of the Industrial Team at The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise’s (CAFRE’s) Dairy Centre in Antrim.
The position will involve cattle and sheep husbandry duties, including milking cows, on a rota basis, and the supervision of students during practical skills duties.
Additional duties will include basic farm maintenance and operation of machinery associated with livestock, grassland management and crop husbandry.
An element of physical and financial enterprise recording of farm data will also be required
Essential Criteria: A minimum of a Level 2 Diploma in Agriculture. A full driving licence is required.Candidates should have at least one year’s experience of working with cattle and sheep, including milking cows.Reading and writing skills are essential to follow standard operating procedures and record basic enterprise data on provided recording sheets and systems.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:A formal training, and assessed competence certificate in the safe operation of the following machinery would be advantageous.•
