My client a leading public sector organisation based in Belfast are currently looking for a Full-Time Corporate Equality Officer.
Hours: 37.5 hpw: 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. To manage and monitor implementation of the Trust’s Equality Scheme and Disability
Action Plan.
4. To develop systems of engagement with key stakeholders including service users.
5. To proactively establish and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders.
6. To support the Assistant Director in mainstreaming equality within the Trust including
within strategic planning and decision making processes.
7. To support the Assistant Director in the management of policy screening and Equality
Impact Assessment within the Trust.
8. To undertake benchmarking and research activities.
9. To facilitate public consultation exercises including the coordination and facilitation of
stakeholder focus groups, public meetings and the development, distribution, collation
and analysis of consultation questionnaires.
10. To provide advice and guidance to managers in relation to equality legislation and
compliance with statutory duties.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. A university degree or equivalent professional qualification and a minimum of 2 years
experience in:-
a) leading work streams which demonstrate specialist knowledge in the application of
equality legislation or
b) leading stakeholder involvement and consultation processes in respect of organisational
policy.
OR
A diploma or equivalent professional qualification and a minimum of 3 years experience in:-
a) leading work streams which demonstrate specialist knowledge in the application of
equality legislation or
b) leading stakeholder involvement and formal consultation processes in respect of
organisational policy.
