CIPD Northern Ireland is staging its annual awards gala at the famous Belfast landmark for the third year running on May 10, 2018, with recruitment specialists Grafton as the principal sponsor.
Entries for next year’s awards are now open for nine categories and they will be presented to teams, individuals and organisations, highlighting the depth of excellence within the profession in Northern Ireland.
There are two new accolades for 2018: Best Diversity and Inclusion Initiative and the Excellence in HR Leadership Award.
The other categories are: Best Change Management Initiative; Outstanding HR Student of the Year; Best Employee Engagement Initiative; HR/Learning & Development Team of the Year; Best Health and Wellbeing Initiative; Best Learning & Development Initiative; Best Talent Management Initiative.
At the event CIPD NI’s Executive Committee will also be presenting the Chair’s Special Achievement Award, which will recognise an individual, team or organisation who has made a significant contribution to the profession here.
The awards’ judges will be looking for clear evidence that a particular people management and development initiative or project contributed to organisational sustainability and success plus innovation and creativity that set standards of best practice and measurable results.
Launching the 2018 awards, Pete Feldman, MD of Grafton Recruitment, said: “As one of the leading recruitment providers on the Island of Ireland, we are delighted to be supporting the CIPD Awards once again.
There is a wealth of talent in the HR profession in Northern Ireland, who contribute daily to the success of their organisations against significant challenges. It’s incredibly worthwhile to take a step back every year and celebrate those achievements.”
Beth McMaw, Vice-Chair of CIPD NI, said the awards provide a fantastic opportunity for HR, L&D and personnel development professionals to gain recognition for the quality of the work they are delivering across the private, public and voluntary sectors.
She added: “I would urge all individuals and employers, large and small, to enter the awards and join us at the gala to enjoy what will be a fantastic evening celebrating the impressive work of our local HR professionals.”
The CIPD, the professional body for HR and people development, has more than 3,000 members in Northern Ireland.
Belfast Telegraph’s Nijobfinder is once again the official media partner of the CIPD NI 2018 Awards. Mark Reilly, Classified Advertising Manager, said: “Belfast Telegraph Nijobfinder is delighted to continue its support of the prestigious CIPD NI Awards and encourages organisations to enter the 2018 awards and celebrate the success of professionals who help shape the future of Northern Ireland.”
