Salary Scale: £28,706 - £29,307
Housing Rights believe that prevention of homelessness is the best cure. We work tirelessly to keep people in their homes and help them with their housing problems. We believe that everyone should have a home.
Do you want to be part of our team, and help make a difference to people’s lives??
This post is for 37 hours per week, initially for a 3-year period. We welcome applications for secondment.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed person to be involved in the further development of our housing advice and mediation service, which aims to prevent and alleviate homelessness amongst young people.
You will work as a specialist housing adviser within the young people’s team along with an experienced housing mediator. It is planned that the team will include a young people peer advocate, so this formidable team will have a full range of experience, skills and attributes. The team will work together to help resolve young people’s housing problems by enabling them to remain in their current accommodation or move to suitable alternative accommodation. You will work collaboratively with relevant organisations and agencies to ensure a holistic and inclusive approach, and you will work to effect change in areas of housing legislating, policy and practice which negatively impact young people.
