Savills are currently recruiting a full time Marketing and Events Manager based in the heart of Belfast City Centre at CastleCourt Shopping Centre. The successful applicant will be a dymanic, hands on individual focused on achieving the following objectives:

Objectives for the Marketing & Events Manager:

  • Drive visitor numbers (footfall) to CastleCourt through initiatives and events
  • Work with appointed marketing partners to develop and execute a marketing strategy for the year
  • Firmly establish a close working relationship with retailers to ensure mutually beneficial results
  • Ensure a positive ROI on marketing strategies across all platforms
  • Promote excellent customer service through initiatives and training
  • Ensure effective management and control of the marketing budget and spend
  • Drive giftcard campaigns and grow giftcard sales
  • Increase brand awareness and grow customer database
  • Engage with city stakeholders on ongoing basis
  • Curate evidence based strategy for all social media platforms, blogger and influencer activity

Role & Responsibilities

  • Working under the centre manager, the marketing manager is responsible for all centre marketing operations
  • On the ground delivery of innovative marketing campaigns and bespoke initiatives to create customer loyalty and maximize dwell time, spend, carpark income and visitor footfall. Critique and ongoing review of all campaigns and promotions to include analysis of ROI
  • Working with our marketing agencies and partners to develop promotions and an annual events calendar to support footfall and brand objectives
  • Coordinate and facilitate promotional events and entertainment activities within the centre with the ultimate goal of attracting new customers, promoting brand loyalty, creating theatre at the centre and driving retail sales
  • Overall management for the provision of social media & website accounts, including content ideas, imagery and implementation schedules
  • Effective communication with retailers to ensure partnerships and collaborations are well executed
  • Continually build brand awareness to existing and new customers and stakeholders by utilising all available communication platforms and initiatives
  • Assist and coordinate centre research & data analysis
  • Coordinate and deliver retailer marketing reports on a monthly basis
  • Contribute to the overall centre strategy for excellent customer service and quality delivery of customer experience .
  • Respond to downward sales trends or footfall with appropriate activities and retailer support
  • Implementation, oversight and post event reviews/actions for all centre approved marketing initiatives, events and promotions
  • Point of contact for day to day retail marketing questions/opportunities
  • Coordinate customer service initiatives and lead customer relations staff in assisting with onsite marketing and events
  • Maintain electronic direct mail and database management
  • Maintain the centre website and social media platforms to include content and website updates through effective communication with marketing partners
  • Manage on site marketing materials
  • Coordinate and record all centre and tenant press clippings
  • Contribute to tenant communications to include tenant newsletter, meetings etc
  • Control and report monthly on expenditure against marketing budget
  • Coordinate quarterly audits to include footfall and car counts
  • To undertake and perform any other reasonable task or duty whether personal development or in response to a business need
  • Weekend working on a rota basis

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Marketing, Events and social media marketing experience is essential, preferably within the retail / leisure industry during the last 5 years
  • Proactive approach to work and a can-do attitude
  • Willing to take responsibility for own work
  • Excellent communicator and team player
  • Flexible approach to your work, including the ability to do occasional out-of-hours
  • Ability to adapt to rapid change
  • Ability to proactively and creatively solve problems
  • Build and maintain key relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Forward thinking approach and the ability to identify future trends and initiatives
  • IT skills - Microsoft Office, Excel, and Browser based systems
