Excellent opportunity for a digital journalist/marketer with an ability to create engaging content for a diverse range of audiences. You will be based in the Faculty office for Engineering and Physical Sciences reporting to the Business Development Manager where you will proactively gather and disseminate content to increase visibility of the Faculty through press, digital and social media across education and research topics engaging internal and external audiences. You will be based with and support the Faculty Student Recruitment Hub (FSRH) in developing and advising on engaging content for student recruitment activities, research and the wider Faculty profile.
This post is a 2 year fixed term contract.

The successful candidate must have:
- A Bachelor or Master’s degree or equivalent in media, journalism, marketing or closely related area
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a digital content production/journalism role or digital marketing role with substantial content creation and maintenance.
- Outstanding writing, editing and proof-reading skills, with the ability to produce high-quality accurate work to tight deadlines and adapt editorial style to a wide range of audiences.
- Sound understanding of digital user behaviour and customer journeys, user journey testing and audience research, and the ability to apply these insights to develop more user-friendly experiences.
- Sound understanding of search engine optimisation, web analytics and content management systems.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data.

Salary scale: £27,831 to £32,236 per annum
