Project Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join their leading company in Belfast.
This is a temporary full-time position for initially 11 weeks – with the potential of being extended thereafter. This is with an immediate start.

Based on a daily rate: £250.00 - £350.00 (depending on experience)

Job Purpose:

You will be responsible for overseeing the management of all elements of the business change process, and delivering a coordinated set of interventions.

Essential Criteria:
• Previous Project Management experience within a previous role
• Experience of successful project management delivery
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent organisational skills
• Strong IT knowledge

Key Responsibilities:
• Management and coordination of delegated work package projects within the approved cost
• Performance of activities of the strategic programme office in accordance with the established project processes and procedures
• Consult with stakeholders, including Project members, interpret the requirements and negotiate with and/or other internal and external groups to provide appropriate project documentation and advice to reflect the overall change programme and individual work package contract requirements
• Communicate change initiatives with internal and external stakeholders
• Develop strategic plans, project plans and programmes and manage the implementation of these plans
• Manage and co-ordinate activities of both internal staff and external consultants, liaising appropriately, to ensure a common direction is maintained. Directly monitor and control activities for designated work package contracts and coordinate key interfaces between the projects
• Develop and implement procedures relating to project management as required
• The organisation and control of external consultant and contractor project resources on the project, relevant to the respective work package contracts
• Ensure effective decision making within the project
• Executing, managing, monitoring and reviewing the project, in accordance with the role and function of the project management office
• Preparation of cost estimates and the management and reporting of costs, including cost control procedures
• Preparation, management and maintenance of project controls relating to programme management, scope, contracts, costs, risks, change and other project management office functions as required
• Develop and produce project reporting documentation relevant to the status of the project and the overarching functions of the project management office on matters relating, but not limited to programme, cost, quality, scope, risk, value management, change control, etc.
• Control expenditure against budget for respective designated work package contracts and prepare monthly financial statements and projected reports for expenditure
• Lead change management across the programme, including the researching, implementation and assessment, from initiation to completion and carry out post project reviews
• Produce project reporting documentation relevant to the status of the project and the overarching functions of the project management office on matters relating, but not limited to programme, cost, quality, scope, risk, value management, change control, etc.
• Develop strategic plans, project plans and programmes and manage the implementation of these plans
