Job Purpose

Assisting in the induction, placement, monitoring and recording of the progress of apprentices/trainees on Skills Training programmes and other training programmes as may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inform & liaise with employers, apprentices/trainees and staff on all mattering relating to the efficient operation of skills training programmes
  • Prepare relevant documentation and maintain appropriate records on every Apprentice/Trainee
  • Communicate the concept and rationale of the Training for Success/ Apprenticeships NI programmes & update when changes are made
  • Identify & arrange suitable work placements for Trainees
  • Set up and carry workplace reviews and assess the compliance of the workplace with Health & Safety
  • Attend case conferences and compile and present all information as required
  • Prepare work reports as requested
  • Monitor attendance & contribute to the completion of Personal Training Plans & monitor progression
  • Provide support for recruitment & marketing initiatives
  • Interview prospective Apprentices/Trainees, complete exit interviews & record details of anyone leaving the programme
  • Collect and collate details of accidents at work & assist in the student disciplinary procedure

Essential Criteria

  • A minimum of a Level 4 Qualification in relevant discipline
  • A pass grade at GCSE Level in English & Maths or an equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of one year’s experience of using a Management Information System
  • A full current driving licence & access to a car for business purposes
