Your new role

HNH Human Capital are recruiting for an operations manager on behalf of a global professional services company based in Belfast. The operational manager will be responsible for both operational and line management responsibilities of numerous Business Development and Relationship manager teams. In addition, they will assume operational responsibilities over the central directories team and work closely with the senior services managers to identify improvements and efficiencies across the submissions process.

As the role progresses and the operational manager becomes embedded in the company, they will provide support to central projects, forensic pitch analysis and identifying commonalities between remote and local teams that could improve efficiencies.

What other key responsibilities will I have?

In addition to those above, the operations manager will be heavily involved in the recruitment, onboarding and training within the CRM and BD teams. You will identify and upskill talent organically and provide leadership to the team leaders as they develop.

What skills can I offer?

As the operations manager, you will be an effective coach, motivator and leader who not only has an eye for detail but can also consider the bigger picture in terms of organisational structure and team cohesion.

You will be able to effectively manage HR policies and procedures within those teams including responsibility for monitoring busyness levels, time management, absence, holiday cover, return to work and PDP’s. In addition, you will be able to offer experience in managing local training needs, setting goals, carrying out performance reviews and carrying out formal management procedures if required.

  • Excellent people management skills and leadership skills are essential.
  • Experience working within a professional services environment or legal environment in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS applications especially Excel is required.

What will I be rewarded with?

You will receive a base salary of c£35,000 and access to a cash medical benefit. You will also gain experience and exposure working with senior stakeholders in a global professional services environment and have use of leading technology and systems.
