Director – Corporate Operations
The Odyssey Trust Company (OTC) is a charitable company set up to establish, hold, manage, safeguard and develop the investment in the Odyssey project for the benefit of all of the people of Northern Ireland. OTC operates the SSE Arena, W5, the science and discovery centre, and the Belfast Giants ice hockey team. OTC is entering a very exciting period with major planned investments in W5 and across the site to enhance the visitor experience and the long term future of the complex.
Due to extensive internal reorganisation, OTC is now seeking a Director – Corporate Operations (DCO) who will be part of the senior executive, reporting to the Chief Executive. The role will carry strategic responsibility for the finance, HR, education, social affairs and facilities management departments. The post-holder will be responsible for all governance issues, strategic and business planning and asset management.
The post will require someone with significant senior management experience, ideally including servicing and advising boards. A sound knowledge of good governance and previous experience of strategic and business planning are essential. A third level qualification in a relevant discipline is expected. The individual appointed will be able to quickly fit into and manage a highly diverse and dynamic group of companies and will have excellent people skills, energy and a sympathy with OTC’s ethos and purpose.
The post is permanent. An attractive remuneration package will be provided.
