Active Travel Officer, Workplaces
£24,204 per annum
37.5 hours per week – contract to 30 September 2019
working with employers in Derry / Londonderry
An exciting role to engage with workplaces and their employees to develop a culture of sustainable travel behaviour in key employment centres across the Derry City and Strabane District Council area through a wide ranging programme of engagement and activities, delivering on travel plans, supporting sustainable travel champions and utilising Sustrans engagement tools such as on-line travel challenges, cycle training and led walks and rides.
Educated to Level 4 in a relevant topic, you will have proven experience of delivering sustainable behaviour change and/or of delivering employee or adult community engagement projects. You will also have experience of organising and delivering events, experience of delivering training to adults and of successful working relationships. Your excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communications skills will enhance your ability to motivate and enthuse others. You will have knowledge and understanding of behaviour change and the health benefits of active travel and be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.
