Dominican College is a Catholic Grammar School for girls. It was founded in 1930 and remains in the trusteeship of the Dominican Sisters, Cabra. There are 1050 pupils, with 262 in the Sixth Form.
The Board of Governors seeks to appoint a dynamic Principal who will lead the school securely forward in an age of significant educational change while securing and continuing its sound tradition of Catholic education as articulated in the document "In Search of Truth, The Dominican Way in Education": A summary of the philosophy and practice in Dominican Schools and Colleges.
Applications are invited from qualified teachers who, by the closing date for application, fulfil the following criteria:
Essential Criteria include:
- A University Degree or Equivalent.
- Employed in the post-primary teaching and learning sector or related area for at least eight of the last twelve years.
- Experience in Senior Leadership in education, with a minimum of four responsibility points in a post primary school for at least two of the last five years.
The Board of Governors reserves the right to enhance the criteria to facilitate short-listing.
