In this challenging role, you will directly report to a Production/Business Unit Manager, therefore, we require someone with strong leadership, analytical, teamwork, and influencing capabilities.
Salary: £41,000.00 per year
As a Production Team Leader at Brett Martin, you will work:
- 12-hour continental shifts (rotating days and nights) including weekends
- Average of 40.25 hours per week
- 7 out of every 14 days / nights
About The Role
As a Team Leader, your role will involve:
Main tasks and duties
Supervision
- Responsible for the supervision of all the employees under your control at any time;
- Manage the day to day operations within the department according to the instructions from the Department Manager, utilising the available employees to guarantee the most efficient use of employees, machinery and materials.
Production
- Responsible for efficiently planning, organising, monitoring and controlling all aspects of production;
- Plan the daily production, allocate duties, organise material supplies, direct product removal, co-ordinate breaks, overtime, etc., and advise and assist the team where necessary;
- Establish priorities to meet order deadlines and organise supplies of all materials ensuring they are available when leading a team in various aspects of production, including training, Health & Safety, cleanliness, quality, performance evaluations, projects, and disciplinary actions;
Required Criteria
- Have a working knowledge of Windows based software including Microsoft Excel;
- Demonstrate a strong technical background and be prepared to get involved in a “hands on” capacity when required
- Demonstrate practical experience of planning, scheduling and performance monitoring;
- 2+ years Supervisory experience in a high-speed environment

- NVQ Level III Management / recognised mgmt. qualification
