Contract Programme Director

VANRATH are pleased to be partnering a major Technology company based in Belfast. They require a Programme Director to join the team on a contract basis for 6 months. This is a hybrid role (typically in the office one day per week).

The project is moving two legacy systems to a new helpdesk solution including replatforming to either a SaaS or self- hosted solution.

About you

• Holds a relevant Programme/project Management qualification
• Proven project management and leadership skills and good knowledge of business analysis, infrastructure provision, system development and IT Service management
• Excellent planning, communication and presentation skills
• Expert in project quality management
• Business case development and benefits realisation experience
• Principles, methods, techniques and tools for the preparation and monitoring of budgets to minimise costs and ensure cost-effectiveness
• Principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of a programme of projects and related activities through to the successful achievement of planned business benefits.
• The identification, assessment and management of project risks, which could result in time or cost over-runs, or failure to deliver products which are fit for purpose.

What you’ll do

• Responsible for ensuring the portfolio/programme of change meets its objectives and delivers the projected benefits
• The owner of the overall business change being supported by the programme
• Ensure change maintains its business focus ensuring risks are actively managed
• Take personal responsibility for successful delivery of the programme, you will be recognised as the owner throughout
• Take decisions and be proactive in providing leadership/direction throughout the life of the programme
